Yafi Coffee & Gelato was born from a simple but powerful idea: to create a space where authentic flavors meet heartfelt community — a place that feels like home for everyone who walks through our doors. 

Our founders, inspired by their rich heritage and a deep love for coffee culture, dreamed of sharing the warmth and tradition of Adeni tea, premier gluten-free and vegan bakery items and Italian gelato with the diverse Schaumburg community. They recognized a need for a café that honored authentic, high-quality ingredients and provided a welcoming space for people of all ages and backgrounds. 

For years, the founders traveled, tasted, and learned — perfecting recipes, building relationships with artisans, and understanding what makes a great cup of coffee and gelato truly special. Their passion wasn’t just about great flavors, but about creating moments of connection: a high school student sharing a gelato with friends, an elderly couple savoring their afternoon tea, or a busy professional finding calm in a perfectly brewed espresso.
